In a multicultural country like Malaysia, interfaith dialogues and understanding are  of paramount importance in order to foster a sense of community and harmony within our nation’s people. MySkills Foundation students participated in a day of fasting for the month of Ramadan, on Friday the 22nd of April, 2022.This activity was meant to give them the opportunity to experience a typical day of fasting – from waking up for sahur, the pre-dawn meal to going about their daily activities without food or water prior to breaking their fast at dusk; giving them a better understanding of Islam and the act of fasting.

We were also host to an iftar event that same evening, where we invited members of the local community to break their fast with us on-campus. As an organisation, we rely heavily on the support and cooperation of external parties within the community in order to create a positive ecosystem that facilitated transformation within our students – therefore, this event was also a sign of appreciation for what they do and their tireless work. We would like to extend our thanks to the Pusat Kesihatan KKB, Balai Polis Kalumpang, IPD Kuala Kubu Baru as well as the various Ahli Majlis, Ketua Kampung and Penghulu Mukim Kalumpang who attended the event with their families.
