FEMALE HOSTEL RESIDENCE
A hostel is a place where students should feel like home and be comfortable.
MySkills Foundation’s Campus has a spacious hostel for girls. Girls always feel happy and comfortable in their new hostel.
The hostel can accommodate about 100 students. Currently, we have prepared accomodations with new beds, mattresses and wardrobe cabinets for 50 students.
Besides, we have a huge hall where it can accommodate 100 students. Girls usually attend virtual classes, Zumba, and manicure and pedicure classes in the hall. There are 4 dormitories, 16 washrooms, laundry, pantry and also washing machine area for cloth washing.
During a student’sfree time, girls use the pantry for discussion and sharing session. Some of the classes will be conducted at pantry.
Atomic habits like cleaning, bed making ,and dusting are their regular duties. the students must make sure their places are always clean and neat.
It has always been our DREAM to build a self-contained transformation campus. Thus, we acquired 32 acres of land in Kalumpang, Hulu Selangor in 2014. The land was bought together with 3 empty factory lots each located on an area of 23,000 sq.ft on 26th September 2012 for RM3.0 Million from Danaharta.
In June , 2016 we bought the fourth factory building and 3 acres ofland located in the centre of our land at a price of RM1.9 Million. The total cost of purchase was RM4.9 Million. Total area that we have acquired now is 35 acres.
Hostel Residence Complex for 300 students
Growing student population requires conducive hostel accommodation; that fits the requirement to house 300 students and 10 staff for campus operations. The facilities planned are more on open dormitory concept which includes a common area for regular usage (pantry, watching tv, assembly area). This is to create residential environment within the complex.
Indoor Sports Centre
As students number grow year by year, there is greater need for transformation activities or programs in campus. The indoor Sports Complex facilities provides space for Gym, Yoga, Indoor Games, and even Boot Camp with outdoor Spartan obstacle trail.
The mezzanine floor with grandstand facing the Titiwangsa mountain and the field provides spectacular view. The facilities are also a good prospect for those who seek corporate and school holidays training renting opportunities.
Gandhi Memorial Park
Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th Birthday celebration was organised every year globally. In 2018, MySkills had the privilege to work with High Commission India to Malaysia in constructing a Gandhi Memorial Park in MySkills Campus in conjunction with his birthday.
The memorial park was launched by Hon. Minister of Human Resources YB M Kula Segaran together with Counsellor of High Commission India to Malaysia in April 2019.
Administration & Technical Training Centre
The technical training facility is required to carry out administrative roles, classrooms, and workshops for various vocational training courses. We have refurbished the first building into Administration & Technical Training Centre which can accommodate upto 300 students with 8 classrooms and close to 100 training bays.
Currently, the courses provided under the new campus are Electrical Wiring, Air- Conditioning, Plumbing, Welding, Landscaping, Corporate Secretarial, Catering, Bakery Production and Pest Control.
Additional space had given us diversity in delivering the value-added courses for our strategic partnerships like HRDF, JP Morgan Chase Foundation, 3M, HSBC, Yayasan Hasanah, JA and KLK .
2 Mini Fields size/1 FIFA Field size
The HEARTBEAT of the Campus, our Football Field being the epicentre of sports activities welcomes our visitors with wider perspective to the campus. MySkills students require constant need for sports activities and a nice, green field. Adding more value, it’s a FIFA standard field size measuring to 2 mini fields that could be best utilized for 40 – 50 students at a time.
Not only football, activities like Yoga,Athletics, Open Day Events/Carnival, and Evening Gathering are conducted at the field. The maintenance of the field (watering, weeding, fertilizing and preparing for games) are fully done by the students.
Now, we are making way for sports coaching and tournaments with local partners and volunteers to add more value to the purpose.
NLFCS Hall of Residence
About 50 students started to experience the new campus environment in February 2018. It was our first trial to assess and test the infrastructure, design and capacity. The horizontal widespread provides advantages to design activities that could benefit the students.
Gratitude to National Land Finance and Cooperatives Society for their sponsorship. The first accommodation building was successfully refurbished and students were housed before the building completion date.
