This past Saturday, we were honored to welcome 65 enthusiastic volunteers from AmBank Group, including 14 members of their top management, to our Kalumpang campus. Among the distinguished attendees were Group CEO Mr. Jamie Ling, Group COO Datuk Iswaraan Suppiah, Group CFO Mr. Shafiq Abdul Jabbar, Group Operations Head Mr. Elango Kuppusamy, and Group FinTech & Technology Head Mr. Wong Eng Teng.
Building on last year’s memorable Deepavali CSR event, where AmBank volunteers engaged with our students and generously donated appliances, bakery items, and MYR 10,000, this year’s celebration was even more vibrant and meaningful.
The day featured a range of engaging activities that fostered connections between volunteers and students. Together, they made ghee balls and murukku in the cafe dining hall, decorated cakes, participated in a kolam competition, and contributed to our Gandhi Memorial Walkway by planting trees and flowers.
Adding to the festive spirit, our students showcased their incredible talents through lively dance and singing performances, captivating and energizing everyone present. The event concluded with a delicious lunch, bringing together volunteers and students in a shared moment of joy and connection.
AmBank Group has been a steadfast supporter of MySkills Foundation for two years. This year, their donation of RM13,600, which included the sponsorship of a dehydrator and industrial grinder, has been instrumental in scaling our moringa production facility—an essential component of our social enterprise initiatives aimed at empowering at-risk youth.
We also celebrated a special milestone—Mr. Jamie Ling’s first anniversary as Group CEO—with a heartfelt cake-cutting ceremony. The cakes, beautifully decorated by AmBank volunteers during the activities, symbolized the spirit of collaboration and creativity that defines this partnership.
