On a meaningful December morning, the MySkills Foundation family gathered at our Kalumpang campus to witness the inauguration of the Kolandasamy & Sarojini Lecture Hall. Nestled within the heart of our training center, this centralized space is more than just a lecture hall—it symbolizes the unwavering support and generosity that has enabled MySkills to grow and transform lives.
The naming of the lecture hall is a heartfelt token of our gratitude to Mr. Tankaraju and Madam Medlin, who have been steadfast supporters of MySkills for over five years. Madam Medlin, now the Executive Director of the Breyer Group of Colleges, has shared how our mission resonates deeply with them. Coming from families where their parents made sacrifices to provide better lives for their children, Madam Medlin spoke about how her father selflessly would help others in need. Indeed through this lens, they see in MySkills a reflection of their own journeys and values.
It is in this spirit of honor and appreciation that the lecture hall is named after Madam Medlin’s parents, Kolandasamy and Sarojini. This tribute not only celebrates the memory of her parents’ sacrifices but also acknowledges the significant contributions of Mr. Tankaraju and Madam Medlin, whose generosity has empowered MySkills to continue transforming lives.
The inauguration was an emotional moment for all present. Mrs. Sarojini signed the commemorative plaque, a gesture rich with meaning and legacy. During the event, heartfelt speeches by Mr. Pasupathi, our Co-Founder and Director, and Dr. Shanmugasiva, our Chairman, captured the profound impact of Mr. Tankaraju and Madam Medlin’s support on our mission to empower at-risk youth.
