HSBC – MySkills Foundation Celebrating Achievement Day for It’s Successful Partnership Under Green Workforce Training (Solar PV & EV)

A vibrant celebration unfolded by HSBC and MySkills Foundation honoured the remarkable achievements of 125 students under the grant partnership, “Youths Charging Up for a Greener Tomorrow with Solar PV and EV Training.” This event marked a pivotal moment for these young individuals who have embraced specialised training in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electric vehicle (EV) technologies, paving the way for a sustainable future.

The event was graced by Minister of Youth and Sports, YB Hannah Yeoh, HSBC’s CEO, Dato’ Omar Siddiq, HSBC Corporate Leaders, MySkills Board of Directors and Industry Partners (Charge N Go). Their inspiring presence underscored the vital importance of empowering youth through technical and vocational training in green industries.

YB. Hannah Yeoh passionately addressed the challenges faced by young people today and expressed her pride in the impactful work of MySkills Foundation. She also announced an exciting plan to invite the Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Minister of Digital YB Gobind Singh Deo to visit the MySkills Foundation after witnessing the successful Youth Transformation model of MySkills.

HSBC’s collaboration with MySkills Foundation, which began in 2018, has transformed the lives of over 600 marginalized youths, equipping them with essential skills for emerging green sectors. Dato’ Omar Siddiq highlighted the shared vision of both organizations in creating opportunities for youth in sustainable technology.

This celebration was not just about recognizing achievements; it was a powerful reminder that these young leaders are ready to drive change future global challenges meeting.
