On the 19th of January, a team from Asurion Malaysia alongside their General Manager, Mr. Saravanan Kollanthavelu, their Board Director, Mr. Chari T.V.T., the CEO of RedOn, Mr. Vijaya Kumar Thangavelu, and representatives from their business partners, Vivo Malaysia, QCD Technology (M) Sdn. Bhd., SNS Network (M) Sdn. Bhd., RedOn (RedOne), ATX and Accentnet, spent the day at our Kalumpang campus for a CSR activity.
Asurion Malaysia has been working with MySkills over the past four years to positively impact our at-risk beneficiaries through various programs and activities, but notably developing the TechAssist internship program with Asurion. This specific program was designed with our beneficiaries in mind, and to introduce and upskill them in order to allow them to access high-income jobs within the tech industry.
Upon welcoming them with a traditional lion dance performed by our own students, the team proceeded to spend an entire day at campus engaging with our students and enjoying the host of activities at campus. In the morning, there was a mock cheque presentation to the MySkills Building Fund, a fund dedicated to further improving and completing the facilities on campus. They also sponsored a delicious lunch and lou sang activity for our students one of the traditional food during celebrating CNY and which was enjoyed by all.
Follow by afternoon session consisted of a showcase of our students’ talents, as well as a graduation certificate presentation for the current batch of students in the Tech Assist program, signifying their completion of the program. We were also delighted to present souvenirs to the Asurion team and their partners.
We are so grateful for Asurion Malaysia’s continuous support to MySkills over the years, and we hope to continue this in the future.
