Yesterday (Tuesday, 2nd May 2023), HSBC Malaysia and MySkills Foundation celebrated the Achievement Day Event on the successful training completion by MySkills beneficiaries sponsored by HSBC Malaysia. 100 MySkills students have successfully completed the pilot training with entrepreneurship opportunities on GREEN WORKFORCE READINESS WITH SOLAR PV TRAINING.

The event was officiated by YB Adam Adli, Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports together with Dato’ Omar Siddiq, CEO of HSBC Malaysia. Industry partners such as Charge N Go Sdn Bhd, Asurion and Mercu Jitu Engineering were also present to celebrate the successful outcomes.

The successful public-private partnership between HSBC and MySkills Foundation has had a positive impact on the MySkills youth beneficiaries by improving skills and wellbeing, creating employment opportunities, contributing to economic development, promoting social mobility and community integration, and promoting sustainable development practices in the last 5 years.
To prepare students for a changing world, education must address workforce trends in connection to social and economic development. Part of being ready for these changes means anticipating which skills will be needed in the future of work. Beyond knowledge comprehension, organizations seek workers who understand interconnections and complex systems, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) awareness.

Under MySkills’ current ecosystem, the training emphasises more on sustainable human capital development solutions which also addresses entrepreneurship capacity building for the at-risk youths.

Thank you HSBC Malaysia for entrusting MySkills Foundation to deliver the social impact goals. We look forward for successful future milestones on the key areas of Sustainability and Future Skills Workforce Readiness.
