On the 29th of July, we were proud to attend the ASURION Internship Completion Award Ceremony in light of the five students who have completed their internship with ASURION. The Pan-Asian CEO, Mr. Grant Perrin flew down to present the certificates to our students at the Asurion Malaysia office in KL Sentral.
This internship, conceptualised as the Tech Assist program as a collaboration between Asurion and City-Link Express, was designed to provide high income job opportunities for the youth enrolled at MySkills.
Our director, Mr. Pasupathi kicked off the short ceremony by thanking the Asurion team for giving our students this opportunity and making sure the internship program was a success. Mr. Grant was proud to note that our students did well during the six month program, and that the students were moving to the second phase of the program. Out of the four students, three of them have moved on to the second stage of the Tech Assist internship with Asurion, in order to acquire the skill sets necessary to achieve the next level of competency set for them while one will now be furthering his employment with City-Link Express.
During the ceremony, our students were invited to share their experiences from the six month program.
From spending seven (7) hours with a customer in need of assistance backing up their phone, to the various customer service interactions experienced by our students – they thanked the Asurion team for the exposure, the opportunity and the growth they experienced. We would like to extend our gratitude to Mr. Sudesh, Mr. Sam, Mr. Alex and Mr. Achuthan from Asurion Malaysia, as well as Mr. Brandon, the Senior Manager from City-Link Express for their tireless work in ensuring the success of this program. Thank you Asurion for the opportunity and we hope see more of our students involved in opportunities like this!
